April is going to be a great month, as I am finally lucky enough to go and visit Santorini! Santorini has been on the very very top of my bucket list since forever. Each day I stalk Santorini pictures on instagram, and always dream of being there myself, and it is nearly my time to go!
I will be going on my own and I have 3 nights to enjoy all that Santorini has to offer. All I plan on doing for my trip is getting up early enough to enjoy the sunrise on eachday, spend the day exploring the streets, and making sure I get the best views of the sunsets. This is going to be a very chilled trip away, and I am so excited.
Things I plan to do:
- Oia- Beautiful sunsets
- Oia Blue Domes
- Imerovigli- ‘balcony to the Aegean’ Sunsets
- Church of Ai-Stratis
- Nea Kameni- Volcanic Origin and hot springs
- Ancient Thera
- Three bells of Fira
- Red Beach
- Byzantine castle ruins
- Oia to Fira hike
Where am I staying?
I searched for so long for where I wanted to stay for my trip. I wanted somewhere that I could really enjoy the sunset, which is one of the main reasons that Santorini has been on the top of my bucket list for so long. I am so excited for those sunrises and sunsets. I decided to book to stay in Oia which from lots of research seems to be the best place to experience these.
Anemomilos hotel and villas in Oia is where I will stay for my 3 nights. I upgraded my room so I have my own balcony which overlooks onto the sea. Which I am hoping I can watch some beautiful sunrises and sunsets from. I obviously had a look at the more expensive hotels and villas just to compare the prices, and as a solo traveller these were definitely out of my price range, but gosh they did look gorgeous. Maybe one day 🙂
Have you ever visited Santorini?
Do you have any recommendations for things to do and places to eat?
I would love to hear from you 🙂
